Even
though Utah has the youngest population in the State, it is home to one
of the fastest growing new senior care franchises in the country.
Spectrum Home Services headquartered in Sandy just announced four new
franchise locations putting the number of franchised locations at 15 in
nine different states.
For
the past five years, Spectrum Home Services, Inc. has been providing
personal care, homemaking, handyman, yard care and relocation services
for senior citizens and busy Baby-Boomers.
They are the first and only company within the senior care and home
services industry to offer a complete package of these services.
Because of the company’s great success, rapid growth rate, and the
overwhelming need nationwide for senior home care services, Spectrum
now has offices in nine states and is offering franchise territories
throughout the United States.
The
idea for Spectrum Home Services originated while Jenny Nelson CEO and
owner of Spectrum Home Services was preparing a Masters project in
Gerontology. According to Jenny, “reports of seniors falling and
breaking bones while attempting routine home maintenance, yard care, or
home cleaning chores were becoming more common. When recommendations
were made by therapists to modify homes with grab bars, handrails, or
wheelchair ramps there were no reliable resources available to install
the equipment.” Because of her observations and 14 years of physical
therapy experience she knew the time was right for a company to fill
this niche. Thus Spectrum Home Services was born in January of 2000.
By
providing a complete package of non-medical senior and home care
services Spectrum Home Services has filled a niche historically ignored
by home health agencies and larger health-care institutions. This lack
of attention and slow reaction to a changing business climate has given
Spectrum Home Services an edge in the senior care market that is
expanding rapidly as baby boomers near retirement.
According
